Galbally’s Got Talent
Preparations and rehearsals are coming on fantastically for our Galbally’s Got Talent show on 29th November. Again, we welcome anyone who would like to help out with the event and to contact a committee member if this is the case.
Scor na nÓg
Congratulations and well done to Caoimhe Loughran and Anton Quinn who go through to the next round of Scór na nÓg on Sunday 9th November at 5pm in the Patrician Hall Carrickmore. All support welcome!
Climb4Clare
CLIMB is a programme for children aged 5-12 years old who are experiencing the impact of a parent, other significant adult, brother or sister’s cancer diagnosis. This is a scheme which is being very much promoted by Clare Clarke, a Gael who has worked for the LGFA in Croke Park for 11 years who has been unfortunately diagnosed with cancer, and subsequently found very little of this type of support across Ireland. As an issue which surely affects many of our loved ones, a programme such as CLIMB would provide much needed support to sufferers and their families.
We can do our part!! There will be a short walk (approx 1 mile) leaving from Galbally Community Centre at 2.30pm on Sun 26th October. It is totally child friendly so gather up your family and friends, put on your club colours and support the worthwhile cause. Donations can be made on the day.
Heart Screening
The club are hoping to organise heart screening for our players from underage to senior. We don’t have to look far to see how important these short examinations are, and how vital they can be to saving lives, and so we urge all our players and parents of players to think about screening. Anyone interested is to contact any member of the committee, with more details to be released pending numbers.
Club Lotto
This Week’s Numbers: 2, 7, 3, 15. Lucky Dip Winners: Ann Tierney, Teresa Gillespie, Brenda Mullan, Daniel Kerr (£25 each). Jackpot now stands at £4200.
CaP Jackets
Any Club an Piarsaigh members who have yet to collect their jackets are urged to do so. There are a variety of sizes available from the club shop.
Club Shop
The club shop will be open every Friday 7.00-8.00pm and during senior home games. On Halloween week it will be open on Thurs 30th instead. We are due in some lovely new stock in time for Christmas, so get your order in with full payment to avoid disappointment.
