Piarsaigh An Ghallbhaile Notes: Week Beginning 4th Of November 2019

By Francis O'Neill Thu 7th Nov

Senior Men League
This coming Sunday our Reserve & Senior Men take on Cookstown at home in Pearse Park at 1pm & 2.30pm respectively. A win on Sunday for both teams would see our Reserves & Seniors winning the Intermediate League but with Cookstown facing the relegation playoff it is all to play for. We would encourage as many of our supporters to come out in the club gear on Sunday to show their support. We would like as many of our youth in their club colours to bring a ball and get out onto the pitch at half time of the senior game.

Senior Men Ulster Club Quarter-Final
Congratulations to the senior men on beating Laragh United last Sunday to advance to the semi-final.
Final Score: Galbally Pearses 1-17 Laragh United 2-13

Senior Men Ulster Club Semi-Final
On Sunday the 17th November our Senior Men take on St Nauls from Mountcharles, Co Donegal in the Ulster Club semi-final at 2.30pm in Celtic Park, Derry. This is new territory for many Galbally Gaels and we would encourage as many to make the journey to show your support.  As we seen on Sunday in Healy Park, the Galbally support helped to give our men the boost in the last 10 minutes to get them over the line.

U13 Boys League
Our U13 boys take on Beragh at home in their final league game on Sunday prior to the Reserve / Senior Match at 11.30am. The boys are doing really well in their league so let’s get out and show them some support.

Scor na nOg
This Friday evening our Instrumental group are competing in the Tyrone semi-final of the Scor na nOg in St Patricks College, Dungannon at 7pm.  All support welcome. We will be hosting the final of the Tyrone County Scor na nOg on Sunday 24th November in Galbally Community Centre at 3pm.  If you are able to help on this day please contact any of our committee members.

Club Lotto
Our Club Lotto is a valuable income for the weekly running of our club.  If you are able to purchase a ticket or 2 each week will help towards the weekly costs in our club. This week our lotto numbers were 12 – 15 – 8 – 6.  There was no jackpot winner.  Our 5 Lucky dip winners were O Reynolds, Mickey Tierney, Tommy McGee, Stephen McGee & Peter Tally.  Our Jackpot next week (Tuesday 11th November) will be £5,050.

U16 Grade 1 Boys League Final – Carrickmore v Donaghmore
On Saturday 9th November we will be hosting the Grade 1 Final of the U16 boys league between Carrickmore v Donaghmore.  We would encourage as many helpers to come out to help with parking / lotto / tidyup.  If you are about please call in.
