By Francis O'Neill Wed 24th Aug

fund3Fundraising Draw

On Sunday 31st July we launched our 2016 fundraising draw.  We have various teams out on the roads selling tickets for the lucky winner to be in with the chance of winning £10,000 (Total Prize fund £15,000).  If you or your children benefit from our fantastic facilities we would appreciate if you were able to give up some time to go out with our sellers to help fundraise please contact any of our committee members- even if it’s one evening a week.  Reminder for all team leaders – returns are to be made every Tuesday night in the committee room at 9pm sharp.

Senior & Reserve Men

Hard luck to our Reserve & Senior Men against a strong Omagh side.

All roads head back to Omagh on Friday 26th August when our senior men will be playing in the Championship against Coalisland at 8.15pm.  Please note that his is the second match of a double header with Aghayran v Pomeroy at 6.45pm.  All support welcome.

Senior Ladies

Monday night saw the battle of the Pearses in which Galbally Pearses played their last league game away to Fintona Pearses.  A win for Galbally would secure top place in the junior league and a place in the league playoffs.  Welcome returns to Niamh Donnelly back from America and Amy Carberry from injury was a much needed blessing as in recent weeks Galbally Pearses lost their first league game and championship first round within a week.  Though all that behind it was a great team performance with all 18 girls making major impacts across the field, defence stayed strong throughout, especially in second half only conceding 0-3. For the ladies of Galbally it was the final 1-6 in last quarter that finished any hope of a revival from Fintona.  Scorers: Celine Carberry 1-3, Eimear Tally 1-3, Adrianna McNamee 1-1, Claire McKeown 0-3, Maeve McGlinchey 0-2.  Final score :  Galbally Pearse’s 3-12 Fintona Pearse’s 1-8.  Congratulations to the girls on completing season as league leaders and wish all the best in the playoff’s!

U16 Boys

Next up in the U16 Football League is Dungannon Clarkes at home on Thursday 25th August @ 7.15pm.  All Support Welcome.

U12 Boys

Training continues on Thursday night at 6.30pm sharp.  Our U12s played in the Thomas Clarke tournament on Saturday defending their title playing great football despite the bad weather. They were playing against teams from Magherafelt, Truagh, Dromore, Carrickmore & finally Moortown in the final.  Galbally were 2 points up with seconds to go when Moortown were awarded a penalty that they converted winning by the narrow of margins.  Hard luck to the all lads that played their hearts out.  Our U12 Boys have been invited to the Harte/Mullan Tournament in Loughmacrory this weekend.  More details to follow.
