Pearse Park Clean Up
We are asking for as many of our members playing and non-playing to come along on this Saturday morning for a spring clean of Pearse Park at 9.30am.  If you have some free time all help will be very much appreciated; just bring along a spade, shovel, rake or anything else you think with help us to get our grounds back into shape.
There will be jobs for all ages; brushing, weeding, strimming, repair work, washing and plenty more.

Senior & Reserve Men
Our Reserve & Senior Men play Clonoe this Sunday in Clonoe at 2.15pm & 3.45pm respectively.  All support welcome.
Senior Ladies
Our Senior Ladies are playing in the Junior League on Wednesday 1st June at 7.30pm at home to Clonoe.  All support welcome.
U21 Men
We have entered a team into the U21 knock out competition this year.  The U21 competition starts on Tuesday June 7th at home to Stewartstown at 8pm.
U16 Boys
Training begins this Saturday 4th June at 5pm.  It is important that all available players attend.
Under 14 (Boys)
Our U14 Boys are in the league Semi-Final on Thursday evening against Clann na Gael at 7.30 in St Pat’s Park Omagh.  All support welcome.
Under 14 (Girls)
Hard Luck to our U14 girls on Monday evening losing out to Kildress on a scoreline Kildress Wolfe Tones 2-14 Galbally Pearses 1-1.  Next up is the preliminary round of the Championship on Thursday night against Donaghmore at 7pm.  All support welcome.
Martin McCaughey Tournament 2016
We held our 10th Annual Martin McCaughey Tournament in Pearse Park on Saturday 28th May with over 250 U12 Boys playing football on every available surface.  All 3 1/2 pitches were used to their full capacity with teams from – Dungannon, Carrickmore, Kildress, Killeeshil, Dungiven, Donaghmore, Loup, Rock, Errigal Ciaran, Loughmacrory, Derrylaughan, Fintona, Eglish & Aghaloo.  Playing in the Shield Final was Rock & Donaghmore with Donaghmore coming out winners in a tightly fought battle.  In the Cup Final Galbally took on last year’s shield winners Fintona in a tough fought contest.  Well done to our U12 Boys bringing the Martin McCaughey cup back to Galbally after 6 years. Well done to all players and management.  Thank you to all the clubs who attended our tournament, to the referees, everyone who helped organise, setup & to everyone who provided & served the fantastic spread of food and refreshments.  This was the 2nd piece of silverware for U12 boys in 8 days.  The future is bright for this group of lads.
U12 Boys new Jersey Sponsorship
On Saturday 28th May our U12 boys were presented with their new jersey’s kindly sponsored by D Hamill Civil & Engineering Plant.  The club would like to thank Darren & Celine Hamill for sponsoring these jerseys.  Please support our sponsors.
U12 Girls
Our U12 girls will be attending a blitz this Saturday morning – more details will be sent by text message.
U8 / U10 / U12 (Boys & Girls)
This week’s U8 / U10 / U12 training will take place on Thursday night at 7pm – 8pm SHARP. (7pm – 7.45pm sharp for all U6’s).  Any U6’s attending MUST have a parent accompanying them to training.  Can we ask that everyone is ready to start at 7pm?
U8 Boys
On Tuesday night Moy U8 Boys visited Pearse Park for a couple of friendly matches.  Thank you to Moy for travelling and all the players, coaches and parents for a great evening of football.
U8 & U10 Girls
Our U8 girls (primary 3 & 4) & U10 (primary 5 & 6) have a friendly against Donaghmore on Wednesday 8th June at 7pm.  All girls are to be in Donaghmore no later than 6.30pm.
Gum Shields
From January 1 2014, this rule applies to all players at all age grades.  If a player refuses to comply with a Referee’s instruction to wear a mouth guard, he / she will initially be cautioned by the Referee and if the player continues to refuse, the Referee can send him / her off.  It is important that everyone wears their mouthguard to training so that they can get used to wearing it.

Club Lotto
No Jackpot Won.  This week’s numbers (Tuesday 31st May) were: 6, 2, 7 & 10.  Our 5 Lucky Dip winners winning £20 each were- Seamus Corrigan, Eileen Corrigan (Clonavaddy), Hughie Corrigan, Tanya McKeown & Roisin Corrigan.  Next week’s jackpot is £3850- if you’re not in you can’t win.  Next Draw takes place on Tuesday 7th June @ 9pm.  If you need a lotto seller to call to your home, contact any committee member or alternatively tickets can be purchased in Tally’s Mace or Donnelly’s Post Office.  Lotto is an essential source of income for the club & your continued support is greatly appreciated.
Gaeltacht Grants
Anyone who applied for the Tyrone GAA Gaeltacht sponsorship has been successful in their application.  The presentation of awards will take place at the Garvaghey Centre on Wednesday 8th June at 7.30 pm.  All recipients must attend this presentation.
Club an Phiarsaigh
The Key focus of Club an Phiarsaigh is to provide the finance for the continued development of our fantastic facilities, teams (young and old, male & female) for current and future generations.  Club an Phiarsaigh is central to the future of Gaelic Games in the Galbally area.  Join us and be part of the future.  Should you wish upgrade or subscribe to our Club an Phiarsaigh Scheme this can be done by downloading the form from our website www.galballygac.com.
Field Signs
We are very privileged to have so many people & business that support our club by various means and this includes field signs located around our main Pitch in Pearse Park.  For some people these are due for renewal and if you haven’t already got your space please contact any committee member to get one organised.

Forms were handed out in Galbally Primary School for the Tyrone GAA & Kelloggs Cul Camp.  Applications are preferred on-line (links below) or can be made by post.
Tyrone GAA Camp

Summer Camp Coaching Vacancies
If you are interested (or know of someone) who would be interested in some worthwhile and well organised summer work close to home, then Tyrone GAA like to hear from you.  To obtain further information regarding the coaching vacancies please contact Youth Officer Kevin Kelly ASAP.  There will be a training/information session for all those interested in working at the Summer Camps in the Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey on Monday 13th June at 6:30pm. Only those in attendance will be considered for summer camp coaching. All coaches are requested to bring suitable gear for going outdoors.  The session will include a short refresher course on the GAA code of ethics, focusing on the ‘Duty of Care’ in relation to children attending the Tyrone summer camps and a practical session on how to best coach children at the camps.  All coaches will be Access NI vetted through Tyrone GAA.  Anyone who needs to be vetted is requested to contact Kevin Kelly.
Last Man Standing
We are down to 11 competitors in our Last Man Standing Competition. All competitors have been informed and we will keep you updated.
Club Shop
The club shop will open on Friday nights throughout May from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.
Special Mention
Good luck to all our club members who have been and will be sitting exams over the next few weeks.  Keep the heads down and it will all be worth it.
Fundraising Dance
There is a fundraising dance for St Josephs Primary School in Galbally Community Centre on Saturday 4th June with dancing from 10pm.  Music by Cascades. Admission £5.  Tea & Soda bread served.
Miles for Cystic Fibrosis
Keep Sunday 3rd July 2016 free! There will be a 5km & 10km run as well as 5km walk from Galbally Community Centre, organised in association with Galbally Runners to raise funds for the Regional Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Unit at the Royal Hospital Belfast for Sick Children (RBHSC).  Check out Facebook for more details.
