By Francis O'Neill Wed 12th Aug

Senior Football
Thursday night will see Galbally seniors play Cookstown in Pearse Park at 7:30pm in the next round of the league.  Please note there will be no reserve game.  Friday night our reserves are playing in the championship away to Killeeshil at 7:30pm.  All support welcome for the men, good luck in your two games!

Ladies
Senior ladies will play away to Pomeroy on Monday night at 7:30pm.  All support welcome.

Youth
There will be NO youth training on Wednesday night (12th).  It will be back on as usual next week.  Last week Galbally hosted the Tyrone GAA summer camps and there was over 130 children who took part in the camp, each and everyone of them having great fun and enjoying their week.
Our u16 boys had mixed results last week, they had a great win over Ardboe on Wednesday night but lost out to Dungannon on Friday night.  They will play Killeeshil on Wednesday night  in Pearse Park at 7:30pm.  Our U16 girls started their league campaign last week when they had a good win over the Rock.  They will play Stewartstown on Friday night in Pearse Park at 7:30pm.  We encourage all parents and supports to come out and support our u16 boys and girls.

Path of the Pearses
THE WEEKEND IS FINALLY ARRIVED….. all the training has been completed and all the cyclists are raring to go.

The weekend events will start on Saturday morning with the Path of the Pearses Youth Cycle  where all the youth of the club can get involved and cycle three routes 10, 5 & 3 Miles and for the smaller children they can do laps of the track.  This will be a great day for the youth of the club.  Can we please make sure all children are wearing helmets.  On Saturday evening, a Special Mass will be held in St John’s Chapel in Galbally where all cyclists will receive a blessing to keep them safe during the cycle.  We would like all cyclists to attend mass in their new Path of the Pearses cycling jerseys.
Sunday is the day the cyclists have all been training for, they will leave Pearse Park and take off on their 90/50 Miles journey, with stops at Pearse Ogs in Armagh, Ballybay Pearses Monaghan and Aughnacloy before all arriving home to Pearse Park together.  We would encourage all family and friends to come out and support the cyclists along the route and cheer the cyclists through the tough miles ahead.  It will be a day where memories and stories will be made, we hope you all plan to be apart of it.  The homecoming party will start off with a Steak BBQ and then dancing the night away to the fabulous Whistlin Donkey’s. Tickets are £15 for BBQ & Dance or £10 pay at the door for the Whistlin Donkeys.
This will be a weekend that will be remembered for years to come.
